Weeds or wishes?
There are many people who dislike the lowly Dandelion. Children love them, but many adults hastily mow them down. Why is that? I don't have an answer.
I see them and think, "Oh look, the childrens' flower has arrived."
There's one left and I know Fall is approaching. My little childrens' flower will soon hibernate. I have one last wish I can make.
Do you see these as weeds or wishes?
If you answer, 'a wish,' then what would you wish for on the last flower?

If it's in my lawn, it's a weed!
ReplyDeleteAlex!!! You'll never know if you like butter. Ha!
DeleteI know I like a beautiful lawn.
DeleteI should have guessed. You're the 'Son of Grasshopper,' and your name is 'Weedwacker'. Ahh....
Deleteisn't dandelion the same as arugula that people eat in their salads? :) And I know that milk from dandelion can erase warts on your hands if you have them
ReplyDeleteI think you're right, Dezzy. A friend of mine makes Dandelion tea too.
DeleteI see it as a wish. I guess I'd wish for improvement with my migraines. I'm still struggling and am not where I'd like to be in that department...
ReplyDeleteRobin - I will continue praying for you, knowing that when you're ready, you will tell the migraines it's time to leave. Maybe that sounds strange but it can be done. Sit and imagine Yeshua's warm palm on the top of your head.
DeleteYour blogs, right now, which show self-validation are the strongest source to your advantage. (smile).
Not a weed or a wish, but a salad. Well, I guess it could be a wish if you were wishing for a salad and got some dandelions.
ReplyDeleteEvery year it seems like we get about one lone dandelion in our yard. I like to see it and it doesn't turn into a problem for us. The dandelion is just one more amazing creation of God.

Lee, I love the way you think! (smile). Salads are wonderful!
DeleteI want to plant a flower bed of them next spring.
It just occurred to me that I haven't seen a dandelion since I moved to Florida. I wonder why we don't have dandelions. Let's say I can make a wish. My wish is for love, love, love. Love for everyone. Even the pissy people.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Janie, I can always ship some seeds, but you might change your mind later.
DeleteBest wish so far, Lady. Thank you (smile).
I just like blowing the seeds in people's faces, what?
ReplyDeletePat! Ha!
DeleteI think it beautiful to look at albeit a weed or a flower.
ReplyDeleteGreat post Dizie.
Yvonne.
Me too, Yvonne. No matter which growing stage they are in - I like them!
DeleteWhen the kids were younger, we always liked to wish on them :) I would wish for a pleasant winter ahead :)
ReplyDeletebetty
Betty, I hope you have that pleasant winter too (smile).
DeleteI remember dandelions from kid days, blowing on the white fluff after a wish, then curling the other end of the stem in your mouth and turning the stem into a whistle.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth! I didn't know you could make a whistle from the stem. Wow!
DeleteI see... life. We live and die and are born again in various cycles. All of life is letting go... I do prefer the good parts though ;)
ReplyDeleteWell said, Azra! Me too, my friend (smile). Hope things are good your way.
DeleteDefinitely a wish!!! But I can't tell you my wish. If I do, my wish won't come true *grin*
ReplyDeleteShadow - I didn't share mine either!!! *smirk*
DeleteI love dandelions! My wish would be for a long and glorious autumn before winter sets in.
ReplyDeleteDebra - darling, that works for me too.
DeleteNah, you have to have a buttercup to test for liking butter. However, I love to see dandelions flowering amongst all the green. What better sight could you get than all that green and gold. Beautiful. I like Debra's wish.
ReplyDeleteButtercups? I don't think I have any!! Green and gold is very nice. I love Debra's wish as well.
DeleteWishes baby!! Dandelions are one of my favorite flowers. It's awesome on so many levels. It's a survivor with understated beauty, and if you're desperate, you can eat them. Beautiful, whimsical, digestible. What's not to love?
