Has spam changed your life?
Some people generally define spam as any unsolicited email. I admit I've called it by worse names... (probably shouldn't share them here.)
Some look so tempting...I've thought to have a peek, but no! Still I'm very curious and have a question for you. Don't be shy ~
Have you ever opened a spam mail and actually benefited from it?
You know you want to tell me, don't you?! (smile).

I haven't had any spam at all since I got internet back!
ReplyDeleteFran - I want whatever you're having!
DeleteI am very cautious when it comes to viruses, so no, I haven't.
ReplyDeleteI have opened a can of Spam before. That I do regret.
Alex!!!
Deletenever would touch it.... never. Both spams...
ReplyDeleteDez - I really, really understand.
DeleteI just hit delete on most, once or twice I've opened to see what some say, but I'd never dwl anything in them
ReplyDeleteDelete works!
DeleteIn a word, never.
ReplyDeleteNever works!
DeleteNow I love Spam, the canned variety. I never eat it because of it's calorific content, but it's something we learned to like (or dislike) during the war years. The email kind of Spam I don't touch.
ReplyDeleteMy GrandMother diced it with potatoes, then fried it like a hash,
DeleteHi Dixie...
ReplyDeleteI only move things from SPAM, that I know are there by mistake...
Used to eat SPAM sandwiches when i lived in Jamaica...briefly...with my parents...in the late 60"s...went to school in Montego Bay!! WAY too much info...sorry!
Who knew it would still be around!!
Have a great week...
Cheers!
Linda :o)
Amazingly it is still around, and in today's economy making a new emergence.
DeleteI delete them immediately. And they make me crazy! Seems like lots more lately.
ReplyDeleteMe too, Linda Kay.
DeleteI delete all spam. I'm too worried that opening one will give my computer a virus.
ReplyDeleteMe too, and I'm thinking to give my current email realm. Go to Google, maybe.
DeleteI always delete spam but sometimes it's very clever and, if one is not alert, it can accidentally be opened. Some kind of rogue email was sent to all of my contact addresses recently!
ReplyDeleteBut Spam always makes me smile if I think of Monty Python:

Oh Bazza! I watched Monty Python's video on spam the other night. If this is the restaurant video, it's hilarious.
DeleteRogues are nasty!
I have never benefitted from opening a spam mail. Great post and queastion Dixie.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Thanks Yvonne.
DeleteThat spellcheck wouldn't let me put two t's in the word, 'benefitted.' Yikes!
I sometimes get discount codes for shopping. I suppose that's a good thing.
ReplyDeleteSo does my God-daughter!
DeleteI don't think I ever benefited from unsolicited emails. Sometimes, I will open them just for a laugh and then I dash off to share my good fortune with DH before I break out in laughter. I keep thinking, if I've inherited all the said money I keep getting emails about then why not send me a certified letter? Did said party lose my address? I guess that's it. :D
ReplyDeleteI know, Cathy, and lately there's a psychic named Chris, who claims he has a message for me. I'm hoping he gets mine - to go away (smile).
DeleteNope. I don't open spam, partially because I'm married to a techie. The three places people get computer viruses: spam, gambling sites, porn sites. All big no-no's if you want your computer healthy.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Crystal. I seem to be safe on all those points.
