Celebrate the Small Things

I love this blog hop!

Each Friday, we post what we're celebrating - those small achievements for our week!

Then we hop around other blogs, offering congratulations to other people.  And if everyone visits at least a few other blogs, we'll all have some congratulations.

Thank you to our sponsor and co-hosts!!
Lexa Cain

 What am I celebrating?

1 - A gift of a huge jar of peanut butter... now I'm really making cookies. The house is warmer and I'm well fed!

2 - Big bargain at the grocery store on Christmas candy. Hershey's usually sells for $3.89 a bag. They put the white chocolate with peppermint on sale for ...  .28 cents a bag. Ten bags cost less then one at regular price. I love peppermint!

3 - Finally finished going through all of the closets of clothes. (I inherited everything it seems). At least 10 bags go to the free clothing outlet.  They give everything away - which I love! Please donate when you can, what you can.

I hope everyone has a fun celebration day. Thank you for hopping over here! And now ~  the linky vehicle we travel on... I'll be over to see you (smile).

  1. Peanut butter cookies - yum! I really like mint and chocolate too. I think it started in childhood with that lovely green Chocolate Mint Chip ice cream. I've never tried mint and white choc, but I bet it's great! I always donate clothes. And shoes, too. I hate to see usable things go to waste. Have a wonderful weekend! :)

  2. I love peanut butter cookies. And mint chocolate stuff. But white chocolate is like the Turkish Delight in Narnia - fake and evil… Sorry. Just can't go there.

    1. Hahaha, Kate - fake and evil? (Shudder). I loved Narnia! I used to hate white chocolate, until Zero candy bars. (smile)

  7. I probably should go through my closet and get rid of some clothes. My size goes up and down with these dratted migraines. Right now I'm bigger than I'd like to be. One size down would be much better. Seems like every time I get rid of all my really small clothes I get really sick and lose tons of weight, forcing me to buy new again. Look... I just talked myself out of going through my closet in less than a minute. And there you go...

    1. Oh Robin - you are too funny! There are other things to donate - don't worry!

Take care of that brilliant mind - really - how else will I catch up on missed TV spoofs? Thank you! (smile)

  8. Love peanut butter cookies! It's a good thing I'm not going grocery shopping today or I'd have to get some. It always makes me feel good when I can clean out things I don't need or can't use and donate them to others who can make use of them. Win - win for everyone.

  9. I haven't had peanut butter cookies in like forever! Now I want some! And sales are always great, especially for the pocketbook! And I have a whole garage to go through, but most of it's my husband's stuff so I dare not throw it away or donate because most of it is memory triggers for him.

    1. Hi Jaime! Cookies warm the heart and the house for me!! Did you know that "Sales" is my middle name? No?

Fortunately, the things I went through were from my Mom and Dad. Both having passed away - well I finally had to it. But I really empathize with your situation - this had no affect on me beyond missing them.

I'm grateful when one spouse so respects the other's feelings - like you do. I hope the weekend is peaceful and lovely for you both. (smile).

  10. All good things to celebrate, Dixie. It's a good thing Hershey's aren't on sale here. it's so hard to stop eating them. We try to save chocolate for special occasions because it seems to set off alarms. D Hope you have a great weekend.
