The 'Fibro-fog' was with me as I headed for the store.
I was gazing at the shoes before I opened up the door.
Gorgeous colors everywhere with heights that seemed surreal.
Then slipping on the suede red boots I felt that I'd been heeled!
I am heeled!
I am heeled!
Heel, toe, heel, toe~
My back no longer hurts.
Takes some time to get used to the walk that says it all.
A lady standing next to me said to make my high steps small.
I danced around the store like a kid with happy shrills.
Good wishes to the maker as I know that I am heeled.
I am heeled!
I am heeled!
Heel, toe, heel, toe~
My back no longer hurts.
Hi Dixie; I applaud your "heeling" and hope for a continued recovery. Great to see you feeling more cheery my dear!!
ReplyDeleteHi Dixie,
ReplyDeleteWhat an uplifting and well-heeled bit of verse.
And speaking of your red suede shoes,
Thanks for this delightful news
From the tip of your heel to the tip of your toe
You show you've got a lot of sole:)
Oh Heather! Good to hear from you; hope you're well. Now if the nose bleeds will stop... I'll be great!
ReplyDeleteLove, Dixie
Aw, Gary, I really like these shoes! In my mind, "Lady Gaga" begins to sing, and I have the urgent need to climb on top of a piano, and join in.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate that very funny response of yours! :)
Looks like you found a good pair of shoes, Dixie. Congrats on the find. :) I know I always like it when I discover a pair of perfectly form-fitting shoes that are comfortable. Yours appear quite stylish, as well.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your humorous poem, too. :)
Take care.
Geez Kelly, I put on these shoes and feel transformed. It's a powerful experience to stand taller than lots of people, LOL.
ReplyDeleteAdd a fibro fog and I become a dance number worthy of "Dancing with the Stars"!! (SHH, don't tell.)
