Sun, rain, song, repeat...
It's warm in Carolina. Humidity makes it even warmer. Then come nightfall the thunder sounds, leaving me wondering 'when' the rain will begin? It has been the exact same cycle for almost three months now. Yet I'm grateful because some places are begging for sunshine; some are begging for rainfall.
No matter how much the lightening flashes or how loud the thunder roars, in the morning the birds awake, and I'm compelled to sing along.
You took your time ~ welcome summer!

Hey Dixie,
ReplyDeleteAh yes indeed, summer! :) I like some sunny weather, but sure could do without the humidity.
I look out at my back garden and the rain is falling. The rain doth fall, yet the birds doth sing. A most serene evening I'm having over here in England during the British summer.
My friend, may you have a most peaceful and positive summer :)
With respect and summer wishes, your way, Gary :)
Happy Summer, dc.
ReplyDeleteIf you think the weather is changeable in Carolina, you should try England. Over here, it seems, we don't have a climate, just "weather".
Also, when I'm woken by birdsong in the morning, my tendenvy is to want to shoot the darn things, not sing along with them. If only I had your paience, Dixie!
With Very Best Wishes,
David.
Hi Gary.
ReplyDeleteThe rains have been strong, so the birds 'doth' not sing, much less show their little beaks! :)
Thanks for commenting; stay serene. Enjoy your summer!
Dixie
Hi David.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about having patience. It could be that we're glad the lightening and thunder has stopped, without frying any trees or my home. :) It's enough to make me sing.
Happy Summer to you; thank you for commenting!
Dixie
