Summer's weather comes, with a blue sky and a yellow sun.
From the window of the grocery store, I see rain and prepare to run.
The breeze is cool, then cold, as the rain soaks my skin.
Then, as if by magic, the sun and blue sky reappear again.
I hope everyone is doing well.
so your socks weren't' soaked in the end? :)
ReplyDeleteI had on flip flops. Almost busted my tail. Ha!
DeleteWish the rain cooled things here....
ReplyDeleteWe've had two rains in four days - both were cooling, but not for long.
DeleteRain can be fun sometimes. I remember a group of us getting totally soaked, once we were, we really enjoyed ourselves because nothing mattered any more.
ReplyDeleteJo, I know what you mean. I don't like it when it's raining so hard it feels like needles.
DeleteBe nice for the rain to come and cool things off today
ReplyDeleteWhy do I think you live in the tropics, and get plenty of rain?
DeleteI always enjoy a summer rain to settle the dust and give the plants a drink :)
ReplyDeletebetty
It is the best, Betty. My rose bush is so happy!
DeleteHaha! It seems every time I go to the store it starts running as I am getting there or checking out.
ReplyDeleteChrys - I mostly get caught when I'm leaving. Of course the umbrella is in the van.
DeleteWe had a terrific thunder storm last week, hwven'y come from your side of the Big Pond?
ReplyDeleteYvonne,
We did have a nasty thunder storm, two weeks ago - blew down two trees at my neighbor's house. No power for six hours.
DeleteI love summer rain showers - just not the humidity that comes with it! There's something weirdly good about having the sun warm your skin while rain patters against it.
ReplyDeleteMadilyn, we haven't had the normal humidity. We did have a lot of steaming from the ground with last week's rain.
DeleteDid you see a rainbow? Hope you are feeling better. I'm outta' here...................................
ReplyDeleteNo rainbows. Thank you, Gary, I feel better each day.
DeleteHi Dixie...
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by mine!
Love your poem...believe it or not, the same thing happened to me today!
I could heard the thunder while checking out...luckily...I had my umbrella!
Enjoy your week..
Cheers!
Linda :o)
Thank you, Linda, I miss being on here as much but my energy level keeps failing me. Fingers crossed I get better soon.
Deleteyes, i'm trying to survive until the gloriously comfortable fall weather arrives.
ReplyDeleteHi Billy. I often wonder if it's something in the air. I worked outside all Spring but summer has been a bust.
DeleteSounds so nice! We're having a real cold snap here right now with gales blowing freezing rain and hail against the windows. I'm huddled over the laptop in four layers of clothing. New Zealand really needs to learn about central heating…. This stoic stuff is for the birds.
ReplyDeleteI love summer rain, as long as it stays fresh smelling - none of that humid stuff for me.
DeleteAaaaah, the pleasure of getting caught in a summer storm....
ReplyDeleteWe could use some summer rain. The heat wave in WA state continues but I'm nice and cool with AC. Enjoy those summer breaks!
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon! I've missed you. I hope your visit with your Mom has been great.
DeleteI ran this morning in the summer rain, but it was pleasant. Apologies haven't been around your blog for a while - no excuse, just life!
ReplyDeleteMike I completely understand. I miss visiting your blog as well.
