I love this blog hop!
We are celebrating those small achievements we've had for our week! Sharing about health, wealth, writing, family, or school... you name it, and we'll celebrate with you! We do this by hopping to each other's blogs, offering congratulations. And for those times you need encouragement, this is the best blog hop group ever!! We are empathy, en masse! Consider joining us by adding you name at Lexa Cain's blog site on the linky tool!! Come on ~ you know you want to, (smile).
For those who did the A-Z Challenge - yippee! For those who survived - could one of you make me a sandwich? My fingers are screaming at me.
I'm thanking Lexa Cain for keeping us straight - battling the scammers and such! There's no one quite like our 'Master of Ceremonies.' Lexa Cain's blog
And big cheers for the co-host who help us out!!
LG Keltner (Did everyone catch her A-Z 'Z' day?? Wow!)
Katie@TheCyborgMom (I loved meeting 'Emmie' for the A-Z challenge!)
What am I celebrating?
1- Rest. I have two blog hops today, and some A-Z comments to catch up on. After that, I'm taking a long nap! (dc *needs* relief).
2- My blocks are on sale! I can do the backyard garden wall sooner than anticipated! Aren't these nice, and so cheap!!?!! (.78 cents each)(grin).
3- I am so grateful to everyone who could support my first time doing the A-Z Challenge. For those who normally keep up with this rambling blog, they were some changes made to simplify things. (Shh, never, ever tell.)
I hope everyone has a fun celebration day!
A to z is done, but break? pfffft the cat doesn't need no stinkin break lol enjoy your blocks
ReplyDeleteHi Pat. Did some pre-block work
DeletePlaying in my dirt
Today I took away some weeds
It's left me with two speeds...
~slow and slower~
Congrats to surviving...I mean finishing A-Z! You definitely deserve a nap after that. Yay to your rock sale. I'm trying to find cheap dirt right now to get my garden finally going. Sleep well!
ReplyDeleteI have an acre and a half of land, which includes a mini forest. I get some dirt from there.
DeleteFind a place where they're doing construction. Sometimes they'll give it away if you load and haul it off yourself.
Congratulations on making it all the way through. I've never done that challenge, but reading blogs by those who did was inspiring. Enjoy your rest.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure this would be easy for you. Thanks, Elizabeth.
DeletePS: I couldn't find your books.
ReplyDeleteI have written children's book but have never published any of them. My nieces and nephews think I should. They say I write just like a child thinks... and that's why they like my books. I normally make enough copies to send them, and then I'm done.
DeleteCongrats on completing the challenge and getting the blocks on sale. Don't work too hard but have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Marilyn! I am so elated with those blocks. I did the front flowerbeds two years ago, so to find my blocks on sale is great!!! I try to get 100 at a time.
DeleteYou have a lovely weekend.
That is coming along beautifully. Enjoy your rest Dixie. I already have four new blogs in the works. I guess I'm a blogaholic. Glad you completed the Challenge although it is hard work isn't it?
ReplyDeleteJo, I tell you, for me, writing was the easy part. Hopping to so many blogs was taxing, but I loved so many places!!
DeleteI am so happy for you as well. I loved your theme and photos!
Yea that you did the challenge for the first time and you made it through! It does get easier when you do it next year because you'll know what to expect a bit more!! I know it was nice getting onto my Dashboard on Blogger and not seeing lots of blogs to read today :) I too will take a nap today!
ReplyDeletebetty
I skipped a good bit on Friday so I could start on the flowerbed in the back yard. I didn't want the rain to interrupt. Today I've been on and off... I have another bloghop going on and that's been a bit much... all over soon though.
Delete(smile) I've enjoyed your blog. Here's to more!!
I loved the way you tackled the challenge! Congrats on the finish and have a wonderful block sale and rest! :)
ReplyDeleteAw, Tyrean, from you that's a tremendous compliment!!! I've had such a wonderful experience. Got to write my Reflection post tonight.
DeleteI've kept all the links from your challenge posts and will begin reading all this coming week. You did have some really great writers featured!
Dixie, I admire everyone who does the A to Z (I've done it in the past, but just couldn't this year). Give yourself a well-deserved pat on the back.
ReplyDeleteRobin, that's very kind of you to say. I want you to know that I love your song blog experience you have featured. I don't know that I can get to it yet... so much on my plate, but I love what your doing.
DeleteThose are nice blocks. I want some in my front yard.
ReplyDeleteI'll make you a sandwich Dixie; I did not participate A-Z, so my finger and mind are relatively unsullied, lol.
The blocks come from Lowe's - three sizes. My large retainer wall uses the largest size but it was professionally installed. The flower beds use the smallest size and I have installed four flower beds so far.
DeleteI'll try to get a camera and show off. They're really turning out great!
Ha ha! Peanut butter and jelly will be fine (smile). Thank you!!
Most people who did A to Z seem ready for a nap. Congratulations on making it through for the first time.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a fun and safe trip for the wedding!!!
DeleteDixie, I did so enjoy your A-Z challenge, as your pictures and little poems were so cute. Congrats on making it through this on your first time. I'll be it was kind of fun.
ReplyDeleteOh, Linda Kay, I will definitely do this again! I challenged more than my fingers. Next time I'll make twice the amount of peanut butter cookies!!!
DeleteHave a good rest Dixie, you've earned it :)
ReplyDeleteYou too, Michael, and remember what I said about 'RED'. Ha!
DeleteCongrats on completing the A-Z!! I'm glad your blocks are on sale, but I think a long weekend of rest is in order for you - you deserve it. No garden walls until next week! :)
ReplyDeleteOops, started cleaning out the bed Friday. Late Saturday I'll lay in weed barrier and mulch... begin blocks on Monday!!
DeleteThank you and I appreciate you being our blog hop director, (smile)
Hi Dixie,
ReplyDeleteI'm heartened to see how much you have got involved within the blogging community. This has most definitely been a positive tonic for your good self.
It seems we have gone to different ends of the blogging scale. Nice to see how active you've become and as always, you have my background support.
Now, back to my happy obscurity.
Have a nice weekend and rest. Remember you need to maintain your health!
Gary :)
Well, thank you Gary. I hope you're doing better. (smile).
DeleteYes, keep healthy!
ReplyDeleteDidn't have a chance to celebrate the blog hop, but will next week. I wondered if you would be kind enough to add a few words about my poetry book, Kaleidoscope, it would be so helpful. With kind regards, Carole.
Hi Carole Anne. I'm hoping to download it this evening. I'll be sure to do something special, though!! (smile).
DeleteEnjoy some rest now the A-Z is over. You deserve it.
ReplyDeleteI so appreciate you, Kate! Your support has helped me get through this one. I love reading what you're up to... (smile).
DeleteCongratulations on surviving A-Z!!!
Congratulations on A-Z! It really is quite a challenge. Your garden blocks look beautiful. Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deanie.
DeleteI read bout "Moxie Girl," how precious!
How high will the wall be?
ReplyDeleteHi Dezmond! The blocks are 8 inches high - (I'm doing three rows) - which means it will be be 24 inches.
DeleteWell done and congrats for completing the epic A-Z. So pleased Lexa seems to have sorted out the spammers on the link. Love this hop as well :)
ReplyDeleteHi Suzanne! I'm really glad you posted about the bluebells. I make a stake this morning with the flower name on it, and placed it in the ground at the mini forest. I'm thinking to transplant some after they finish blooming.
DeleteLexa did really well!! I'm so happy. I do love this hop too :))
Congratulations on crossing the finish line. I worked in my garden today , for the first time in a long time and we started building a new retainer wall for the flower bed in the middle of our circular drive . And , like you, I am ready for a long nap
ReplyDeleteHi Melissa. I agree. Retaining walls bring out the best naps!
DeleteYay on all counts! I'm stoked for your garden work. We've wanted to do a terrace for three years, now, and I don't think we can do it this year. Lowes is having special financing right now, though...
ReplyDeleteHa! Kelley. After I read the Rune on your blog, I decided it was best for me to hang outside. The blocks on sale was a gift from the universe!!! I've been saving pennies, (smile).
DeleteSpecial financing? Um - I better go outside so I don't think about this. Ha ha ha.
Those are some nice blocks! And on sale makes them even better! I hope you got your nap in. I've been so slow this week, taking it easy after the A to Z...hence the bloghop comment on a Wednesday! Forgive me Dixie!
ReplyDeleteWell, Katie, I think I made it to your celebration - hopefully(LOL) I know we visited on the joke blog, Ha! I can't believe it's Wednesday...I'm still tired. Bless your heart.
DeleteI love the grey blocks with my red brick home... nice contrast. Can't wait to get my new camera phone.. woo hoo!!
I better have a look at your blog right now, before I forget (smile).
