The rain will start to fall,
On every day ~ on me.
I know just who to call,
And where I want to be.
I'll call up Mr. Sun,
And tell him I will scream.
I've got to have some fun,
If only in my dream.
So keep on pouring rain.
You can't make me sad.
My dream will keep me sane.
My flowers will be glad.
~ How about a rain song?
I hate rain only when I have to go out, othervise I like it :)
ReplyDeleteIt's going to rain every day here for the whole week. Today is the only to get sunshine.
DeleteRain is a pain, but not as bad as snow. But whether snow or rain, one day the sun will show.
ReplyDeleteHi Pat. I stayed outside yesterday as long as I could. Not Spring yet, but got some clearing away done.
DeleteWe could use some rain right now where I live. Some of us are thinking about turning on our sprinkler systems. I really like this poem :) I like the sound and smell of rain in the desert, but on the west of the state where I grew up, rain could be endless and dreary.
ReplyDeleteHi Sharon - I read your post and saw that about the sprinklers. I'll send you some of our rain! This is really a nice rain. Slow and rhythmic - great sleeping weather (smile).
DeleteI'm glad you like the poem.
Dixie, I loved this post. We do need the rain, so we can't complain too much. But it sure does put a chill in the air!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda Kay! We had a lot of melted snow. Plus I'm very protective of my basement. My neighbors had problems... but they're downhill from me.
DeleteYes, the chill is extra!!!
No rain here this week, warmer temps though. It's only March so I wonder how long it will last.
ReplyDeleteHi Jo. Your salmon recipe turned out amazing! It seems I enjoy cooking more during inclement weather.
DeleteYou know NC - we're off the wall, so to speak.
I only like rain when it's in Summer :P
ReplyDeleteMy little veggie, and flower gardens love rain in the summer. :)
DeleteSmoky Mountain Rain...ahhh that's right up my alley! I'm not a Ronnie Milsap's fan, but I do love this song. Our forecast holds a lot of rain this week, but at least the temps are supposed to be mild (low-to-med 60s). Hurry and put that call in to Mr. Sun coz I want to see his visit real soon, too! ;) Cute, cute poem, Dixie!
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy. Ronnie Milsap was a 'Mom's favorite,' but I loved this song. Also I went to college in the NC part of the smokey mountains. Used to listen to it on my neighbor's tin roof - it was something.
DeleteGlad you liked the poem - sending Mr. Sun to you!
Cute frog! No rain here but finally, the snow and ice is disappearing. I'd take rain over that any day. Here's to warm thoughts this week!
ReplyDeleteYeah, that frog got my attention too! It's been gray all until late afternoon. The sun is peeking, but that's so typical of weather here. It's a tease, some days.
DeleteI'll gladly welcome the rain. Anything to change up the scenery after endless months of snow.
ReplyDeleteAfterthought: Maybe that mountain rain is so smoky because Adele keeps setting fire to it?
Endless months of snow?! That would be tough for me. I'm the only one to shovel that stuff.
DeleteAdele - funny, funny. Have you ever seen the Great Smokey Mountains"? They do smoke!
That picture of the frog is adorable! No rain here in Florida today but it could come any day. Florida weather is unpredictable.
ReplyDeleteI think maybe that frog is sitting on an aloe leaf. A nice plump seat. (smile)
DeleteHope you get the right amount of rain needed.
