I love this blog hop!
Each Friday, we post what we're celebrating - those small achievements for our week! Then we hop around other blogs, offering congratulations to other people. And if everyone visits at least a few other blogs, we'll all have some congratulations.
Thank you to our sponsor and co-hosts!!
What am I celebrating?
1 - I'm celebrating finding ice cream in my freezer. I pulled a leg muscle and thought I didn't have any chocolate - this works! And, no I don't actually put the ice cream on the muscle.
2 - Having the nicest God-daughter in the world. Monday is laundry day, but it was the same day I pulled the muscle. She took over, and I'm so celebrating having her help! (Thank you, Lisa!)
And, # 3 - I found my "Snowman hat." Send the snow - I'm ready!!!
I hope everyone has a fun celebration day. Thank you for hopping over here! And now ~ the linky vehicle we travel on...
I hope the ice cream helped with the pulled muscle even if you didn't apply it directly to the site….
ReplyDeleteKate, the secret to me, is the chocolate coating. Something about dark chocolate helps my pain. (That's my story, at least).
DeleteThank you!
I hope your leg feels better soon! Ice cream always helps :)
ReplyDeleteHi Laura. Thank you. I suppose my upbringing drove that one home!
DeleteThat comic is hilarious! I'm sorry to hear about your pulled muscle. Yay for ice cream and kind God-daughters. (Interestingly, last night Hubby and I just realized we've run out of ice cream. Oh no! It's on the buying list now.)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment on my blog. I'm so flattered to be your idol!! I hope you enjoyed the posts on my blog. They used to be a bit more interesting, but writing novels takes up a lot of my time now...
Lexa - I love that comic; too bad we didn't hear Louie's story! Ice cream is a mainstay in the winter... summer time, I rarely eat it.
DeleteIn the past year it became important to me, to go back and look at what was written by a person, before the day "we met," so to speak. It's interesting to hear the writer's own story and daily thoughts. I'm having a great time doing this! I would hope you continue having a great time doing what you wish. (smile)
I get sore throat if I eat or drink anything cold during winter :( How old is the goddaughter?
ReplyDeleteOh Dezmond! I never thought cold beverages or foods would bother someone in Winter. I always ate snow cream when I was a child. Lisa is your age, and just as cute!!(smile)
DeleteI'm sorry to hear about the pulled muscle. Sometimes the muscles in my lower back will act up. It's usually intestinal related, but it's quite painful and there is little I can do about it until my stomach straightens out. So...I know how uncomfortable you must be. At least you have your God-daughter helping you during your recouping period. Hopefully you won't be down too long and back to feeling more like yourself. What am I celebrating?! Okay, I'm celebrating the amazing progress my FIL is making since his hospital admittance on Monday. He is a fighter and God is amazing. I'm not sure how much time the Lord will keep him with us, but he is 91 and has had a full, rich life. There are some who can't say that. I'm celebrating the sunshine. For the next two days, we'll have plenty of it and on Saturday the temps are expected to be in the low 50s. So, yippee!!! Thanks for the visit and take it easy, Dixie!
ReplyDeleteOh Cathy - thanks for the update on your FIL. I wondered after reading about him, how things would go. 19 or 91, makes no difference to me - all our precious. Yes, Cathy - God is amazing - you have my best thoughts and prayers!
DeleteSo crazy here. Days of overcast skies with cold, and I couldn't work in the yard. Now the last three days of sunshine and I have a banged up leg! Why?? But is is so nice seeing a big blue sky with that golden orb!
I'll stop over today - have to see what the topic is - you always surprise me!! (smile)
Sorry about the pulled muscle. And thanks for sponsoring the blog hop!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Linda Kay. I don't sponsor this bloghop, my friend, Lexa does. LG and Katie co-hosts. I'm just a "hopper." (smile)
DeleteOh, that snowman cartoon made me LOL!
ReplyDeleteYes, but I found the hat!!!
DeleteYou've got ice cream in your freezer? Can I come over?
ReplyDeleteCome one - there's some polar bears. They're not my favorites but...you might like them.
DeleteHaving ice cream is always a reason to celebrate. I hope your leg feels better soon! Thanks for the cartoon laugh!
ReplyDeleteLori, it's all good distraction. I only feel it now when I stand up! Hard to eat ice cream on one leg!(smile)
DeleteI finished the last of our ice cream last night. Pulled muscles are a pain, literally. Hope it goes away quickly so you can have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteYep, and that champagne and macaroons are done deal too! It might find it's way in next Friday's Celebrate! (smile) Thank you.
DeleteThat reminds me that I still have a tub of ice cream in the freezer that I need to get rid of. It's been there for so long that now its mostly ice with hardly any cream. How could I have let that happen?

Tossing It Out
My goodness, Lee! If I were there I'd certainly help you co-host that tub! Chocolate syrup salvages a lot of things.(smile)
DeleteCongrats on all your celebrations! And have a great weekend :). Battle winner is up on my blog!
ReplyDeleteHi Kim. I've been there, read the results and left a 'howdy' for you! I voted for Toby, but couldn't believe he won! have a sweet weekend, friend.
DeleteIce Cream, Help with Laundry, and a found snowman cap - all cool celebrations!
ReplyDeleteTyrean, it was almost as good as Christmas... except for the leg.
DeleteAlmost bought some ice cream yesterday. Blue Bell was on sale. But... I didn't. Now I don't know what I'll do if I pull a muscle....
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, Robin! Blue Bell on sale and... you didn't? If you pull a muscle, go to bed. Don't do what I did and think you need to exercise it.(ow & smile)
DeleteIce cream can fix a variety of problems...if only we let it work its magic...
ReplyDeleteHope your pulled muscle gets better pronto! Have a great weekend, girl!
I knew you'd get it, Cherdo! It is magic. Thank you, and I enjoyed your post today!!
DeleteIce cream and a snowman hat - sounds like you've been #winning too this week :D Here's to many more wonderful weeks ahead!
ReplyDeleteYes, Azra. If it snows I'm in great shape with that hat. No one knows me in the grocery store without it. It can be lonely, lol.
DeleteThank you!(smile)
Wow, I would love to find ice cream hidden in my freezer. Moosetracks, peppermint ice cream, chocolate, whatever. Maybe I need to hide chocolate around my house so that I can find happy surprises when I need them. My little scavengers, I mean kids, will probably find them all and eat them, though.
ReplyDeleteIf you have a foam roller, try that on your pulled muscle. It might help.
Take care and have a good weekend!
Kimberly... a foam roller... wonderful. That would work. There's one spot driving me crazy.
DeleteIce cream in the freezer? I have a habit of wrapping it in freezer paper, and may think it's a roast... it gets forgotten. Then I go to grab a roast, but viola, mocha-hocha, sumpin-sumpin, ice cream emerges! No freezer burn!
have a great weekend!!
I think we're just skipping over the life-altering discovery that your freezer makes you ice cream!
ReplyDeleteMichael, you know what I think would life-altering? If I had a refrigerator option that included pumping out ice cream cones. You can buy them with ice or water units, right? Yes, maybe I'll work on that this year. (smile)
DeleteLife without ice cream would be a sad, sad day. Is that even possible? Hope that pulled muscle is temporary. Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteI agree, Sharon, and thank you! Hope your weekend is nice too. (smile)
DeleteGreat find! I hope the leg is feeling better. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Kirsten! I'm getting there. Bet you're ramping up for that marathon, huh?!!
DeleteWhile ice cream isn't as good as chocolate, it will do :) I hope your muscle heals up quickly. I once pulled a muscle on my side by trying to catch myself falling off the bed...I should have just let myself fall! That thing hurt like a mofo for months!
ReplyDeleteKatie - I hope things are going better for you. I haven't to your place in a couple of days. Haha, this ice cream had a chocolate shell, like 'Polar Bears." Tomorrow I go to replenish the M&Ms stock - my doctor got on me for running out one time. I've got a walker with wheels and that helps a lot.
DeleteGlad you felt like stopping by. Take care of you. (smile)
I hope you are feeling better!
ReplyDeleteHi Kelley! Much better than last week. Not using the walker as much.
DeleteThank you so much for visiting me (smile).
I hope your weekend was fun.
