Taking the reluctant challenge

Life may present a challenge I’d rather not face.
It may feel like an uphill climb; an awkward climb.
It’s good to know that I don’t have to face it alone.
In hope I gather the right gear and try.

  1. Dear dc,
Just to let you know that after quite a long absence I am still alive and well. Thanks for your comments on my blog, I hope to write again soon. At present have been tied up doing my voluntary work and work on the film I have mentioned, the premiere of which is this Thursday night. Wish me luck, as I have to make a short introductory speech for the film, in front of maybe 250 people, a task which I was somewhat reluctantly "volunteered" for.
Anyway, again you give us a nice poem. Just remember, that at least in blog-land, you certainly don't have to climb that face alone.
    Yours with Very Warmest Wishes,
    David.

  2. Preparation is the key.
As we give each other a helping hand up that awkard climb; the summit reveals an awesome panorama of better times.

  3. Hi David,
Some things appear bigger in my mind than they really are; thus that tough 'rock face' photo.
Sounds like those '250 people' are a rock face for you. Set the stage with a big smile. You'll do well.
    My good thoughts,
    Dixie
On a side note: I thought of your recent blog post when I read that Jade Goody had passed. I'm so glad you chose to share her story. ~dc

  4. Hi Gary,
You are right about: "preparation is the key." I must remember to check my "D-rings" before turning loose of the rope.
Life is not always what I see or hear. I'm beginning to rely on friends who have gone through the climb ahead of me. Thank you for your experience, strength, and hope, Dixie

  5. Hi Dixie,

Over the short time I have been following your journey, I have been inspired by the power of your determination to make your life better.

Life does not give us much of a chance to travel on a flat surface. Sometimes the path seems to lead us strait up a cliff. As long as we have a strong anchor, we can can climb anything.

    Namaste,
    Roger

  6. Hi Roger,
I lay prostrate on the floor recently, and asked the sovereign universe to allow me a "flat surface" to rest. What came to mind were children running through flower covered fields; rest with beauty! We were all there Roger.
Thank you for being a part of...
