The Nation's First Peoples: Two Wolves
I'd like to share this story with you. It brought great thought to me.
Two Wolves
An Old Cherokee is teaching his Grandson about Life....
"A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy. "It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.
One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego."
He continued, "The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?" The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

A beautiful story. Thank you for sharing it with us. I must remember to feed the right wolf, not just the one that seems the hungriest at that moment. Thank you :) xx
ReplyDeleteHi Dixie,
ReplyDeleteI am familiar with this story. So thank you for reminding me of it.
Feed goodness and starve the negativity.
Warm wishes Gary
A jewel shining through:
ReplyDeleteMy problem exactly! ;)
Hi Gary,
ReplyDeleteI too had read this before and thought it quite interesting. My second thought was placing a nice article to share while my "Fibro Fog" was still talking.
Warm wishes returned.
