P is for Paint

Using a textured roller produces a pattern on the walls.

Murals made easy here >  How to paint a mural.

In rooms that smell of paint
Do you often feel faint?
Awfully queasy, uneasy,
Or relentlessly sneezy?

  1. Paint fumes don't bother me too much maybe because I never paint?

  2. A roller's good when you're in a rush
But I prefer the tin and the brush.
    But......
When it comes to painting , I can't get to it.
I find it best to let someone else do it!

    1. Sometimes when I'm not sure of the color/colour, I roll about three canvasses and hang them beside each other on one wall. Wait to see if its what I want.

    1. I inherited my parents' home and there's a lot I want to freshen up. Paint is so easy to change out.

  7. Love the ocean wave! We are in the midst of painting. I've always gone with light colors and now are being adventurous with dark colors. Loving how it's coming out!

    1. I read a blog that talked about painting all inside doors black. It was great looking. That wave will have more teal or turquoise... not sure until I get going.

    1. I love a white wall - got a 25 foot hall.
One large stripe down the middle.
It's all the paint I had - there's no riddle.

  9. The paint smell does make me feel faint. I've never used a textured roller before. That's neat!

    1. Chrys, you might need extra ventilation then. Last year I made my own roller pattern by cutting it with an exacto knife.

    1. Yes, Gwen, but you're interpretation is the 'artistry' of the mural... makes your work unique.

You are very welcome, and thanks for visiting. I'm enjoying Untethered Realms' posts.

    1. A friend of mine painted stripes in 'flat' finish pink about 8-10 inches apart. Then she took satin finish pink and painted the in between strips. Simple but very pretty.

  16. Aside from the fumes,
    Freshly painted walls,
    Always brighten a room.

Your poem on my blog was much better! Good luck with your decorating, Dixie!

    1. Best to paint when windows and fans can be used abundantly. My theme involves all the things I've been doing the last couple of years in the new home. Thanks, Cathy!
