Our plan is to be there to help you celebrate the small things... we're open to all things you celebrate; those small achievements for the week. Is it about health, wealth, writing, family, or school? We'll hop over and offer congratulations. And for those times you need encouragement, this is the best blog hop group ever!! We are empathy, en masse! Consider joining us by adding you name at Lexa Cain's blog site.

What am I celebrating?
1- We're halfway through the A-Z Challenge! It's been great!
2- My 'Battle of the Bands' music blog hop event is going on now through April 21st. I'm playing two versions of the same song. You don't have to join the blog hop to vote for the song you like. If you like music, check out my site... dcrelief ~ Battle of the Bands
3- I've got little white flowers popping up allover the yard. They are called Arenaria. I don't know who planted them... but they're really pretty. Maybe they came with the mulch last week! Here's a photo...
Hope everyone has a fun celebration day! Hop forth and celebrate!
Attention!!! Linky list goes to # 57 - the last two are spammers! See Lexa Cain for more information on this.
I think I would like the open plan except for the bedrooms and bathrooms :)
ReplyDeletebetty
Me too, Betty.
DeleteSome open plan homes are fine,.
ReplyDeleteHope all is well with your pc.
Yvonne.
I am fine. Lexa is getting things controlled at her end, which is where it seemed to start.
DeleteOpen plan living areas are fine, don't think I'd like a bedroom or bathroom!
ReplyDeleteThose little white flowers are very pretty and sound like a surprise appearance for you.
Glad to hear you are enjoying A-Z.
I agree, Suzanne; I do want more privacy.
DeleteThose flowers are a mystery. I've never seen them before. It took some time to look them up online. But I did get about 6-7 loads of free mulch,
A-Z - love it.
It's beautiful to look at, but I wouldn't want to live there with kids. We have an open kitchen and living room space. The two most lived in rooms, so it keeps everyone together, but we can still hide in the rest of the house if needed :)

One of the downsides is keeping a bigger space company clean!
DeleteWhat a beautiful house. Whenever I see a great setup like that, I think of Jerida. She's crazy about home design.
ReplyDeleteI liked this one too, Michael.
DeleteIt would great if Jerida is inclined to make this a career! Not everyone has the talent to "see" the completed vision. Hooray for your friend.
I'd love one of those open plan back rooms that spill out onto a yard with french doors.. one day:)
ReplyDeleteOh yes. I was drooling while choosing which photos to post.
DeleteMy brother has a place at the lake and I'm thinking cabana at the pier side. Lots of flowey curtains.
how do they get rid of the smell of cooking in the living room? I hate the smell of cooking all over the house....
ReplyDeleteI use a really nice overhead exhaust fan. I also have candles and sprays that eliminate odors, not just cover them up. Still, that's a good question.
DeleteAlways some spammer on the list.
ReplyDeletePass on the open house. My wife and I both on occasion wear too little clothing for that.
Alex! You're gosh-darn too naturally honest!
DeleteI don't know but I'd like to try an open floor plan. Seems liberating, I guess.
ReplyDeleteMarilyn, I've been able to visualize part of what I want. Three rooms involved and it's quite beautiful so far.
DeleteI love the open floor plan. About seven years ago we took the wall down between the kitchen and dining room. What a delightful change! Makes entertaining that much more enjoyable. I'm celebrating the daffodils in my front garden. It's a nice welcome home!
ReplyDeleteBetween the kitchen and dining room? I love that!
DeleteDonna I loved your "O" day!
I love the name of those flowers! It sounds like a Game of Thrones name LOL As for open floor plans...I think I'm the only person alive who likes rooms...with walls...they feel cozy to me!
ReplyDeleteKatie @TheCyborgMom
Hi Katie! They have a lovely scent too. I like walls but really wanted more family space and it's possible for me to have it both ways.
DeleteOpen floor plans are the best!!! I'm looking forward to flowers, thanks for showing me yours!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Cathrina. Enjoy your weekend.
DeleteErr umm no way hosa. The cats would run away haha
ReplyDeleteReally? I have zip, zero, nada, experience with cats.
DeleteLoved your poem! I'd be embarrassed living inside all that glass -- people could see everything. Yay for being halfway to the end of the A-Z. You're doing great! And what's better than surprise flowers? Have a lovely weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you liked it. I've had a blast so far. Minion work gets hectic, but at least I just send reports, and don't have to confront issues. Whew!!
DeleteI really like the open plan, but I need privacy in my bedroom and bathroom. I am contemplating how to accomplish this right now in our new house, as I look at window treatments for the many windows.
ReplyDeleteLinda Kay - I have window shades that set into the windows. From there I dress the windows outward. It buys me time to make more important window decisions. Shades are the simplest to install and remove later, and can be moved into another room.
DeleteNo walls? Umm...I need those!
ReplyDeleteYay for being half-way through the Challenge!!!! :D
Hi Chrys! It's been an advantage to go outside at night and have a look on what someone passing by might see. It helps make the plans.
DeleteA-Z ... yay!
As long as I have a bedroom with walls . . . it would be wonderful to have that open of a house.
ReplyDeleteYay for celebrations, especially for being halfway through A to Z! My post went up super late today because I accidentally scheduled it for the afternoon . . .
Tyrean, I think the sky is the limit on design.
DeleteI saw your post - loved it - no spoiler here, though!!
Good job with all those things to celebrate, Dixie! The flowers are beautiful. Wish we had them Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteThat's just it, Deanie. I'd never seen them in my state before. Looked them and found someone saying the same thing, wanting to know what they were. Hmm? Space flowers?? Happy weekend. I've enjoyed your posts this week!
DeleteWe finally have spring flowers here. I wouldn't like total open plan.
ReplyDeleteOoh, Jo - I love spring flowers! Everything in my yard this week is white. I guess the colors will be here soon.
DeleteI won't go the total open plan either. Good weekend!
It's always good to have spring flowers growing. Those are lovely ones too.
ReplyDeleteUntethered Realms
Hi Cherie. I really love what you guys are doing at Untethered Realms - how unique!
DeleteDon't tell me that the bathroom and bedroom are open plan too!
ReplyDeleteListening to Victoria de Los Angeles, Sublime: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omuJLzFyRYg This music transports me in time and space!

They don't have to be, bazza, it's personal preference.
DeleteMY goodness, her voice is incredible. Have you ever seen her perform live? And that video was right in sync! Thank you sharing it with me today.
Never saw her perform live. She died about ten years ago. When she was at the height of her powers I was probably more interested in The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.
DeleteAw, too bad. What a voice, and I feel inclined to hear more of her. Thanks, Bazza.
DeleteI don't think I could do it. A few big soundproof walls with a window here and there sounds more my speed. And those flowers are pretty nice.
ReplyDeleteI don't want any walls to the outside removed or replaced by glass. Too many airplanes for that, (smile). Those flowers: everywhere I put mulch two weeks back, seems to have bunches (like bouquets) popping up.
DeleteI really enjoyed both of your blogs for "O" day!!!
my bedroom and bath would need to be away from the rest of the house.
ReplyDeleteKathe, I think most prefer that too, including me. I offer two very different choices above - so we can kick it around.
DeleteI love the beautiful black and white open kitchen and family room! It's such a bright and airy look! Your flowers are lovely, Daisy!
ReplyDeleteJulie
That kitchen is nice. The 'unknown' flowers are still popping up everywhere,
DeleteThank you, Julie.
I didn't participate in this hop last week. I just keep forgetting to incorporate it with the A2Z post. I do have many good reasons to celebrate, though. One big reason I have is DH got another extension at work, so he'll be employed through the end of May for now. That's reason to celebrate this week, the next week, and the week after that! Who knows maybe we can do the celebrating all over again, if another save in job execution occurs. Keep your fingers crossed, send some good vibes, and if you pray do a lot of it for us! ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy. I started to come off of Celebrate for the month, but I love this blog hop, and every one of the participants have great things to share!
DeleteConsider your celebration shared right here - right now. I celebrate with you, and send you good thoughts and prayers for continued happiness, and DH's employment!! (smile)
Yay for open floor plans - I love that first pic too. An indoor/ outdoor kitchen/ dining space is my house dream <3
ReplyDeleteAnd yay for your flower surprise! They're lovely :) Remember that week? I got a car and you said "all i got was mulch?" well guess what? my car needed work but you got flowers!!! :) who's laughing now?
so happy for you!
Oh yes, I remember being pea green with envy!! What a car!!
DeleteAw, I would never laugh, but if I could, I'd send you flowers. :))
Yes, I love this open plan photo too.
