Celebrate with us, and our own Open Plan!

Our plan is to be there to help you celebrate the small things... we're open to all things you celebrate; those small achievements for the week. Is it about health, wealth, writing, family, or school? We'll hop over and offer congratulations. And for those times you need encouragement, this is the best blog hop group ever!! We are empathy, en masse! Consider joining us by adding you name at Lexa Cain's blog site.

What am I celebrating?

1- We're halfway through the A-Z Challenge! It's been great!

2- My 'Battle of the Bands' music blog hop event is going on now through April 21st. I'm playing two versions of the same song. You don't have to join the blog hop to vote for the song you like. If you like music, check out my site... dcrelief ~ Battle of the Bands

3- I've got little white flowers popping up allover the yard. They are called Arenaria. I don't know who planted them... but they're really pretty. Maybe they came with the mulch last week! Here's a photo...

Hope everyone has a fun celebration day! Hop forth and celebrate!

Attention!!! Linky list goes to # 57 - the last two are spammers! See Lexa Cain for more information on this.

    1. I am fine. Lexa is getting things controlled at her end, which is where it seemed to start.

  3. Open plan living areas are fine, don't think I'd like a bedroom or bathroom!

Those little white flowers are very pretty and sound like a surprise appearance for you.
Glad to hear you are enjoying A-Z.

    1. I agree, Suzanne; I do want more privacy.
Those flowers are a mystery. I've never seen them before. It took some time to look them up online. But I did get about 6-7 loads of free mulch,

      A-Z - love it.

  4. It's beautiful to look at, but I wouldn't want to live there with kids. We have an open kitchen and living room space. The two most lived in rooms, so it keeps everyone together, but we can still hide in the rest of the house if needed :)

  5. What a beautiful house. Whenever I see a great setup like that, I think of Jerida. She's crazy about home design.

It would great if Jerida is inclined to make this a career! Not everyone has the talent to "see" the completed vision. Hooray for your friend.

My brother has a place at the lake and I'm thinking cabana at the pier side. Lots of flowey curtains.

  7. how do they get rid of the smell of cooking in the living room? I hate the smell of cooking all over the house....

    1. I use a really nice overhead exhaust fan. I also have candles and sprays that eliminate odors, not just cover them up. Still, that's a good question.

Pass on the open house. My wife and I both on occasion wear too little clothing for that.

  10. I love the open floor plan. About seven years ago we took the wall down between the kitchen and dining room. What a delightful change! Makes entertaining that much more enjoyable. I'm celebrating the daffodils in my front garden. It's a nice welcome home!

  15. I really like the open plan, but I need privacy in my bedroom and bathroom. I am contemplating how to accomplish this right now in our new house, as I look at window treatments for the many windows.

    1. Linda Kay - I have window shades that set into the windows. From there I dress the windows outward. It buys me time to make more important window decisions. Shades are the simplest to install and remove later, and can be moved into another room.

    1. Hi Chrys! It's been an advantage to go outside at night and have a look on what someone passing by might see. It helps make the plans.

      A-Z ... yay!

  17. As long as I have a bedroom with walls . . . it would be wonderful to have that open of a house.
Yay for celebrations, especially for being halfway through A to Z! My post went up super late today because I accidentally scheduled it for the afternoon . . .

    2. Never saw her perform live. She died about ten years ago. When she was at the height of her powers I was probably more interested in The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

    1. I don't want any walls to the outside removed or replaced by glass. Too many airplanes for that, (smile). Those flowers: everywhere I put mulch two weeks back, seems to have bunches (like bouquets) popping up.

  25. I didn't participate in this hop last week. I just keep forgetting to incorporate it with the A2Z post. I do have many good reasons to celebrate, though. One big reason I have is DH got another extension at work, so he'll be employed through the end of May for now. That's reason to celebrate this week, the next week, and the week after that! Who knows maybe we can do the celebrating all over again, if another save in job execution occurs. Keep your fingers crossed, send some good vibes, and if you pray do a lot of it for us! ;)
