Be Still

I walk through a maze of lies ~
and still I see beauty.
The world would have me give up ~
and still I feel strength.
Thoughts would rush to hurt ~
and still I let them go.
Another day dawns with wonder ~
and still I am thankful.

  1. Hi Dixie!
So nice to stop by your blog and catch up on some of your wonderful words! I still have your snowy poem "Dusting" waiting for display in my classroom again this winter...

I enjoyed reading your "be still" post tonight. I love this Bible verse so much that my daughter, Rachael, bought me a necklace with it engraved on it. Psalm 46:10
    so perfect ❤️
I hope you are doing well, Dixie!
...and I hope to keep at it with my blog!
    I missed it :)
    ~ many blessings, always ~

  3. Sometimes lies are beautiful. The artistry in crafting the tapestry of lies and the ability to keep up with them is oddly beautiful. Not admirable by any stretch, but pretty, like anyone who goes on Real World.
Thank you, by the way, for your eulogy for Pickleope, I love it and I'll get it posted soon (had to work all weekend, otherwise it would have been tomorrow).

  4. Pickleope - you've given me thoughts to ponder. I hate it when you do that! However, you've left such an eloquent comment, I shall forgive you.
Oh boy, posting for pickleope - sounds like a new charity! I am honored!
    Thanks for visiting!

  5. Hi Janie - thank you. (By the way - I laughed myself silly at your post - 7 of 50 questions. Can't wait to read the next set.)
