Stop that racket!

It was bound to happen sooner or later. I was sitting at my special office window in my humble home minding my own business. Cling clang, bing, bang; I hit the outside lights and... THERE HE WAS...

I live in a peaceful community not far from a park and lots of geese and a pond, and, and... squirrels that ignore my every word.

Flash went the camera and he was forever captured in a kodiak moment I'll treasure a long time. He he he.  I turned the lights back out thinking how proud of my quick action I was, yessir... but then it hit me... hey, he was going after all the food!!

Once again the lights came and he was gone... and so was that feeder.

  1. Hey, neat photo. Just wondering where "Bullwinkle" is?
And you had a "kodiak" moment. Um, doesn't 'bear' thinking about :)
    Ignore me :)

  2. Hi Dixie: I have to get up thirty minutes earlier every day just to comment on all your multiple posts!
I have lots of bird feeders in my garden/yard. Some of them are inside wire cages that only small birds can get to. The squirrels are a nuisance but they are very clever.

  3. I like squirrels, we often get one in our garden after the bits we put out for the birds. They live on the opposite side of the road to where we live - which is a wooded bank.

  4. Gary, sorry about that goof.. but to delete and repost would have clogged up the portal shute, and I know how much you hate that.(smile)
Oh! and I was just speaking with bazza, about you, somewhere two posts back. It might have been about crabs :/

  5. bazza, I so apologise, really. The largesse part of my day is spent at the library, researching information to understand the posts of my blog pals! Oh yes, unraveling the repertoires, cannons, and linguistic sauce is exhausting for my challenged intellect. OMG, has anyone heard from David?
Squirrels are clever and the early squirrel gets the nuts. :(

  6. Mike, I have sooo many squirrels, it's not a bank but a 'drive-thru', just the same. With over an acre of land I've been surprised at all the wildlife...nothing my way, mind you, but the animals rule the roost. I still cannot get used to them staring at me, as if to say, "who are you and what are you doing here?" I simply 'inherited' the home that they've resided in for years!
