Umbrellas are colorful and fun.

I love this Uber Blog Hop: Celebrate the Small Things

We are celebrating those small achievements we've had for our week! Sharing about health, wealth, writing, family, or school... you name it, and we'll celebrate with you!  We do this by hopping to each other's blogs, offering congratulations. And for those times you need encouragement, this is the best blog hop group ever!! We are empathy, en masse! Consider joining us by adding you name at Lexa Cain's blog site.

We are coordinated and directed by:

And two lovely co-hosts assist her:

What am I celebrating?

1- Those who have joined this blog hop;  our diversity and talents keep it interesting.
2- After six days the sun has returned; my last flower bed is calling me. Mulch time!
3-  Neighbor swap: she wanted a wrought iron chair I had; I wanted her lamps.

One pair of plain looking lamps that I'll transform, using crystal necklaces.

I hope everyone has a fun celebration day! And now ~  the linky vehicle we travel on... ~ Hop forth and celebrate!

Please see Lexa Cain's site for the linky list. We're still having spammer problems! Sorry.

  1. Great reasons to celebrate this week:) We've just had the sun come out today as well:) Might need that umbrella for the sun not the rain we've been having.

    1. Hi Tania! I've been out in the flowerbed most of the morning. Lovely sunshine, but a bit cool - almost done!

I hope you have plenty of sun, your way!

  6. How cool with the neighbor swap! I always like bright colorful umbrellas, especially on rainy days or to enjoy time outside on a sunny day without being directly in the sun.

to answer your question about the picture with the bank sign, its not in a moat, it just had rained the night before so there were some puddles around :)

  9. Nothing wrong with a good swap. But umbrellas don't keep the bugs away. Inside is where I'll stay.

    1. I spray my umbrellas with bug spray. I use citronella candles. Plant marigolds near by. No water or other light sources helps to discourage them.

    1. Chrys, it was so cool. My neighbor was taking the lamps out to the road for trash. I stopped to find out if they worked - they're a bit plain, but "pretty bones." Lifted the tail gate in my van and there was the wrought iron chair I was taking to "Goodwill". She went nuts over the chair -matches three others she has. Instant gratification.

  13. Sounds as though you are very positive and busy. My summerhouse, the one I've wanted for over twenty years, arrives in May, so at last I shall be able to work outside and be warm, away from my north facing office in the house. Your seating looks delightful.

    1. Hi Carole Anne. I wish I could claim that photo as mine but the camera died. Actually my umbrella is bigger, sits over a big picnic table, with red wicker furniture just beside it. Down the path behind the wicker is the Gazebo, which I really love the most!

I know you're excited. I'm excited for you. I love my office/ studio, and it's facing east with the sunrise! Keep me updated!!

    1. I almost have the pattern nailed. I want a beach landscape - made from the two strands of beads (left side and center). Then do the ocean and a wave from the blue/green beads on the right.

My entire house is a beach theme.
Enjoy your weekend. I've had funny watching Emmie!!

  16. Hi human, Dixie,

I am noting to my alleged human, Gary, that your life has become a celebration of the small wonders, the wonders ignited by the inner child. We are both delighted to see you so interactive these days. My poor human is not well at all at it's good to see how well you are progressing.

A lampshade for creativity and the shade provided by an Umbrella, Ella, ella, eh, eh, eh....

Keep going, my human friend, Dixie. And happy Alphabetting! Arf!

    Pawsitive wishes,

    Penny :)
