I have the makings of a plan. I do.

You’d think that after all of these years I’d know exactly how to change my life. You’d think that I could set my goal or place my dream before me, and beat a path straight to it. Then again, if you’ve been reading along for the last few months you’re wondering: did she get there or are we still traveling?

My old friend Fibromyalgia often stops to play but doesn’t leave as soon as I think it should. It interrupts, and before I know it, I am back to square one in the planning stage of a goal or a dream. My cognitive ability leaves me and I feel sad. I’m learning how to use these interruptions as times to help someone else instead.

Lately the “fog” has begun to lift and I feel “Dixie” coming to the surface. Now is the time to plan step by step the way for me to get going on that special goal. Reach the goal and live the dream! Hooray!

This time I plan to document my progress. My Fibro coach is most interested in learning what stops my mental flow towards accomplishment. You are most welcome to join me in my trek. Don’t worry, I’ll have ‘commercials or cartoons’ so you won’t be bored… lol. Okay, I’ll get back with more in a day or so.

  2. I like the title: I have the makings of a plan. I do.

I feel that way so many times!

I like your idea of helping others.

I sometimes think our brain needs rest and vacation sometimes. :-)

  4. To: 'morrow', To: 'morrow'... I'll read your blogs tomorrow! You're only a day aa-way!

I am so glad you've visited, and thank you for joining this blog.

I'm part of a community of bloggers who utilize empathy, transparency, and positive interaction to inspire a better life. As our friend 'Klahanie' would say: "Help each other, we help ourselves."

Come back often and rest. Dixie

  5. Ah, Dixie...we are always travelling to some destination. I think the destination changes from time to time throughout our lives. The journey never ends...

Fibromyalgia is such a painful disorder. I hope you are doing well right now, though I know it can continue to return with great force. I only know because a friend of mine has it and suffers greatly.

I think your plan is a good one... Stay strong and try to be well. I'll be thinking of you.

    Blessings to you,
    Mattie

  6. Hi Dixie,

I had a lot of catching up to do and glad I did.

The trials we face in life can make us wonder; why? Each of us has to make the best of what we are dealt and the way you deal with your suffering is an inspiration to many, including me.

I am happy that you are focused on moving ahead. I will be following with encouragement and hope.

    Namaste,
    Roger

  8. Hello Mattie,
I was wondering how you're doing; are you still, "Do be do be do-ing"?" That was quite the destination at a time! (Shh).

The trouble with Fibromyalgia, for me is, when I have physical strength my mind acts looney... but when I am physically burdened, my mind is clear. I really don't mind the pain as long as I can have my cognitive abilities at 75% operational. Thats'a bargain!

I know that I am extremely grateful for your input. Some of the nicest people in the world, yourself included, leave their mark on my destination! My heart and spirit are warmed.

    Most appreciative,
    Dixie

    Hello Roger,
I was just wondering how the project with your family member was proceeding? How encouraging it must be to the young man to have your support and diligence.

As an avid reader of your writings, I often return to re-read something because of my limitations. I choose to allow myself to see returning as a positive thing now, because I get to glean more of the stuff you're saying... and I like what you say there!

    In hopes and dreams,
    Dixie

    Hello,
It's taken me a while to remember that we are each given the gift of being able to discover what is best for ourselves. God help me trust that gift.

I'm a grateful recipient of your positive interaction. Know that you are on my mind daily. I am very happy to hear from you and also to hear, things are better.

    In love and peace,
    Dixie

  11. Thank you Dixie for the kind comments.

The project with my son has been great for both of us. We have been working crazy hours to get things pushed out but it has brought us much closer. ( I also get to see my granddaughter a lot!) My youngest son already works full time for me.

I know it can be difficult to live with chronic pain. We don't always get to choose what we will be burdened with leaving us to choose how we handle it. You are making great choices. Writing about it inspires others to make their lives better also.

    All the best,
    Roger

  12. Hey Dixie,
I have arrived rather late here on this blog. An inspirational posting that emphasizes your determination, your resilience in your ongoing challenge to keep the fog as just a gentle mist in the distant valley.
Bravo and keep going. Okay then, I am getting all excited about the prospect of commercials or cartoons lol...Th..th..that's all folks:-)

    Hi Roger,
["( I also get to see my granddaughter a lot!)"]

That's called "icing on the cake"; so glad things are turning out well for each of you, and collectively.

    Kind regards,
    Dixie

    Hi Gary,

Arrived late? On my blog? Did you now? Well, it could have been a 'mist opportunity'... so I'm grateful you stopped by, even late.

The positiveness of your blogs has helped me start looking for "what" works for me. Thank you Gary for sharing your own experiences with all of us.

    Kind wishes,
    Dixie

Oh, and the next commercial has an 'assist credit' with your name on it.
