Sorting

I’m sorting through the madness I call mind
On my way to rediscover life refined
I won’t stop at all the sites
Just the happy, hopeful bytes
I am grateful for the people who are kind

I am sorting through the madness of my mail
To eliminate those things that truly fail
No more ads and sticky spam
Just the stuff that says, ‘I am’
A lucky girl with many chances to prevail

I am sorting through the box of my feelings
Looking forward to the rush of blissful healings
As each feeling finds some grace
There’s a smile upon my face
As I realize that life solves all misdealings

  1. Hi Dixie,

Your last several posts have brought many smiles during a time I have not had much time for such simple things.
I am feeling like a drive by reader lately without time to stop and chat.

Thank you for brightening my day.

    Namaste,
    Roger

  3. Dear dc,
It has been a while since I commented on your blog, so thought I would just stop by and say hello.
You know what it's like for us celebrities- always busy doing something- avoiding the paparazzi, keeping up with the latest piece of plastic surgery on offer, etc.
But seriously, it is nice to read your blog again, it reminds me of what life is really all about.
    With Very Best Wishes,
    David.

  4. Dear David,
I had paparazzi the other night; so bland, I had to take them with a grain of salt. eek. :]
You're always welcome any time; with or without the plastic surgery coupons! ;]
I hope you'll be continuing your blog and the last post was not the final.
Running next to your limo, dc.

  5. I loved this, Dixie. Redefining one's self can lead to many new and wonderful discoveries. The title to this post is perfect for this wonderfully written poem.

I always enjoy my time on your blog. I've not been reading much lately. I promise to do better.(smile)

As always, I thank you for sharing your thoughts and words. I find it a great pleasure reading them!

    Blessings to you,
    Mattie

  6. Dear Mattie,
You are absolutely right about the new discoveries! I was hit by a defining moment right before writing this piece. The hard part was locating a photo that said, 'sorting'. You know it was so perfect I'm considering going and buying a bunch of old boxes! (wink).
I do hope you're happy and enjoying your life. You could be a drive by reader like Roger, or a paparazzi-hounded soul like David, or a simple sort like me! (double wink).
    Blessing to you,
    Dixie

  7. Tis such a beautiful poem. I had not written a poem for a long long time.

I am inspired especially now that I am undergoing some kind of retreat.

    Thanks

  8. Greeting Jun Bullan,
Thank you for seeing what others could not; a sense of order and beauty left within my crazy mind. Eager to sort, yet slow to act, in case I need more attention to resolve it. (You do know. It is not a question but a statement.)
I have enjoyed reading some of your blogs, and will return there this week.
    Most sincerely,
    Dixie

  9. And when you sort through "the box of my feelings", I know you will take that little bit extra time to savour all the positive, wondrous feelings that lie within that treasure trove.
Great poem Dixie. A big thanks for your comment on my latest blog. You are very kind.
    Warm thoughts your way, Gary

  10. Well Gary, that's a very neat comment; a tempting action to say the least.
Actually, I've thought to don safety gear and goggles, toss a match in the box, and watch the fireworks!
I applaud the wonderful blogs you write. And, congratulations at Zimbio.
    In peace, Dixie
