Oops, again ~

The tough part about Internet communications is the lack of insight that a face to face meeting offers. Okay, fast forward, I really misjudged a situation. By the time I figured out who, what, where, when, and why - the party bus had pulled away from the curb. As much as I was determined not to make a mistake.

Past experiences dominated my thinking. And in those good old days, I ran away!  I don't know of any way to go back.  It becomes one of those situations where you let the lesson speak.

This probably doesn't even make sense.

Have you ever convinced yourself (for example, give yourself about 10 reasons) 'why' you should avoid something or someone? Later on you might wonder, 'what' was the big deal? I'm guessing the big deal was my fear, but fear of what?

Oh well...

  1. Sure! But we have to hold on to that faith, because faith and fear cannot occupy the same place at the same time.

  2. Been there before, but after all my crap, now I don't care. If something turns out crappy, I just shrug and move on. At least I know.

    1. Pat, I think you and Alex got it all pegged right. Someone yesterday told me to 'stand still, don't move.' Figure out 'what fear' and then shrug it off.
      So far - so good.

  4. There are plenty of reasons you might not want to see someone. But it gets really easy when you get older and aren't afraid to say the truth about things or have people not like you. Are these people paying you? Adding to your life? The holders of the keys to happiness? No? Then don't let anyone's opinion or attitude get you down. Put yourself first. Always.

  5. Hi Dixie. There is some good advice from some people above. I don't think I can add anything useful but this is a very enigmatic post!
The only thing I can say is that if the other party really cares they will return in time.
    Have a great weekend!

  6. Yeah. Been there. But the others are right, with age I've learned not to care as much. There's more important things in life.

  7. If you're thinking of Wendy, she left the blogosphere after that incident and has never came back ever since, literally stopped blogging :( Breaks my heart, since I really tried myself to patch things up between you.

  8. I'm afraid of lots of things. I don't like to be around people. Sam, who cares for my golden tresses, often invites me to parties. I never go. I'm too uncomfortable in a group.

    Love,

    1. Janie, I get that way and it saddens me at times. Except during the flu season - I really stay at home.

  11. Some good comments and encouragement. I try to weed out people who bring me down, once I know that I can't make a difference in their life.
