Summer's weather

Summer's weather comes, with a blue sky and a yellow sun.
From the window of the grocery store, I see rain and prepare to run.
The breeze is cool, then cold, as the rain soaks my skin.
Then, as if by magic, the sun and blue sky reappear again.

I hope everyone is doing well.

  3. Rain can be fun sometimes. I remember a group of us getting totally soaked, once we were, we really enjoyed ourselves because nothing mattered any more.

    1. Jo, I know what you mean. I don't like it when it's raining so hard it feels like needles.

    1. We did have a nasty thunder storm, two weeks ago - blew down two trees at my neighbor's house. No power for six hours.

  8. I love summer rain showers - just not the humidity that comes with it! There's something weirdly good about having the sun warm your skin while rain patters against it.

    1. Madilyn, we haven't had the normal humidity. We did have a lot of steaming from the ground with last week's rain.

    1. Hi Billy. I often wonder if it's something in the air. I worked outside all Spring but summer has been a bust.

  12. Sounds so nice! We're having a real cold snap here right now with gales blowing freezing rain and hail against the windows. I'm huddled over the laptop in four layers of clothing. New Zealand really needs to learn about central heating…. This stoic stuff is for the birds.
