I love this blog hop!

Each Friday, we post what we're celebrating - those small achievements for our week!  It can be about writing, family, school or general life.  Then we hop to other blogs, offering congratulations to other people. To be part of this blog hop, all you have to do is put your name on the linky list on Lexa Cain's Blog.

Thank you to our co-hosts:

What am I celebrating?

1 ~  My Japanese Magnolia (Tulip) Tree is full of buds. By Monday I'll have big blooms!

2 ~ Yesterday was so pretty, I trimmed back all the bushes in the yard.

3 ~ I'm reading John Eldredge's book, The Way of the Wild Heart. It's about the six stages of a man's life.  If I learn any secrets, don't worry, I'll share them.

Have a fun celebration day! Thank you for hopping over here.  I'll hop over to see you (smile).

And now ~  the linky vehicle we travel on... hop forth and celebrate!

    1. Sharon, yes it does, at least for me. I didn't want to come in, but had to post some things. I think the magnolia is 35 years old. It has grown over two feet since last spring. There's a small limb coming up from the ground, and I may be able to root it.

  2. I've never heard of a Japanese Magnolia, only Japanese Cherry trees - but the buds look gorgeous. When it blossoms, post pics! Yay for it being warm enough for yard work and for finding a book you like. :)

    1. My Mom got this tree from lady she worked with. I'll try to get a photo of it with the gazebo in the shot. It towers over it now.

      This book is fascinating! (smile)

  4. What a beautiful magnolia! How odd that just as your trees are budding, the leaves are falling off mine.

    1. Kate, the is the strangest tree. It buds and blooms first. When it's done and they fall off, small green leaves will appear and remain until fall.

      Hey, have a good weekend.

  8. Magnolias are one of my favorites. Gorgeous! Enjoy those blossoms. I was hoping to attack my yard yesterday, but hubs rearranged our moving boxes in the basement (it takes forever to get everything unpacked) and I couldn't find the one with all my tools :(

    1. Hi Tonja. I wish I had a yard full of these. No leaves to rake and true beauty.

I've been here for four years, and still have "find it" issues; I feel for you! :(

    1. Hey Jamie! Every other day it has rained. So when the sun hit, I took advantage. Plants I don't want, are easily pulled up from the wet ground then! Yes!! This book is going to 'splain everything - maybe :)

  14. Japanese Magnolias are awesome trees. Spectacular. Lucky you that you have one. There's several planted around Midtown Sacramento that I always enjoy seeing when the season starts. Yes, please do share any secrets you learn from The Way of the Wild Heart. (What an interesting title.)
