Sisters of Mercy

Sometimes you hear a song but you don't quite get it. Time passes and you do. That's how it is with me. Sometimes I don't get me, but sometimes I do. I figure as long as I stay true to what and who I am, I'll be okay. Lessons come and if I get them right I'm happy. If I get them wrong I ask for mercy to figure it all out. Never had a sister but I sure wouldn't turn one away.

What about you?

Have a listen to Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris sing Leonard Cohen's "Sisters of Mercy".

  3. This is such a wonderful song that it's almost impossible to find a bad cover. Great ones include Dion, Nina Simone, Francois Hardy (in French) and Cohen himself!
Continuing my new experiment of naming the music I am listening to while posting or commenting - right now it's: ‘Learning to Fly’ by Tom Petty, “I’m learning to fly but I ain’t got wings. Coming down is the hardest thing.” Listen on You Tube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5BJXwNeKsQ

  4. Hi Bazza, will definitely have a listen to Petty. Cohen is one of my favorites, though I discovered him quite late in life.
You listen to a variety of music - can't wait to see the resulting painting. Yes, I hope you'll display some of your own art!!!
Thanks for visiting and leaving the music link!
