Celebrate: Winterizing

The days are cooler - the nights are longer - winter is on the way.
So I'm celebrating these things:

1 - All the winter curtains are hung.

2 - All the YouTube "do-it-yourself" videos have been watched. Yay ! (I hope I know what I'm doing.)

3 - I've got a list of supplies to get to help tighten up the cracks and crevices. (I really hope I know what I'm doing.)

It's Celebrate the Small Things - Friday Blog Hop!!

    1. As long as it all stays outside... I'll be snuggly & warm.

  4. It may not be fun winterizing, but it's fun to do it for the first time in your new home! The worst problem I've heard about is pipes freezing, so make sure to keep taps open (or whatever). Have a great Halloween! :)

    1. I've had a blast - mistakes and all. I got these special electrical heated wraps for the pipes - you plug them in on the coldest nights - we'll see. Hope your Halloween is safe and tasty!

  5. No winterizing here in Florida. The nights are a bit chilly, and it feels good to sleep with the windows open.

    Love,

    1. Thanks Janie. Windows open? It was down to 36 degrees last night.

  6. That almost looks like whipped cream on your house. I like that idea better than snow. Good luck with all of your winterizing. I still have some of that to do, too.

    1. We had our first test last night. It is cold and windy outside but the house is really nice. I thought ginger bread house when I saw it.

  7. It has been so mild here in the UK Midlands. I went for a lovely long walk across the fields yesterday and it felt more like spring than autumn.

    1. Lucky you!!! To walk across my field and tiny forest I'd need two sets of insulated underwear. Never felt a wind this strong this early in November. What the heck - we don't usually get this until January. Enjoy your weather, Julia!!
