Berries ~ red

On the limb with berries ~ red
Nibble fast you sleepyhead.
Winter waits for no one here.
Have a munch, then give a cheer!

I don't have to hibernate.
It's always nice to stay awake.
With berries ~ red I dearly love
to sit among these limbs above.

Good sleep, I wish to Sam and Clay.
My appetite bids me to stay.
When I am done I'll rest my head
and dream about the berries ~ red.

  1. Is that a white squirrel? We only get Red or Grey in the UK. Maybe be it's an American Racapossum or Prairie Snow Dog or something?
All the best for 2013 Dixie xx

  2. Best wishes for 2013. Never seen a white squirrel before.

  3. Hi bazza. They're called Albino squirrels. I'll have to Google Racapossum; that's new to me.

  4. Thanks Mike. As I was telling bazza; it's a white albino squirrel.

  5. Beautiful, both picture and words :)

  6. That had some bounce to it, Dixie. Very cheerful. Makes one feel like they're out in nature. big bonus for me because I'm a nature lover, anyway. Maybe I'm a Bigfoot. :)

    Love the squirrel.

    Have a great New Year!

  7. Hi Jaye! Thank you so much :)

  8. Thank you, Kelly.

I love being outside all year long.I find it strange that none of my squirrels are hibernating yet... and they're huge! Even the neighborhood cat shies away!

I always enjoy your nature films... hint, hint?!? (Bigfoot at Eleven)
