First touch ~

Frost you touched my cheek
Icy hot then cold.

A long slow tingling,
on skin of Autumn gold.

Leaves of many shapes
dusted in your drift.

Icy leaves mingle
ensnared by your gift.

A winter prelude
to the forest's first glow.

Has warmed my cheek
with thoughts of sweet snow.

  1. Hi Dixie,

What a cool poem and I could just 'fall' over with joy.

I love to rake the leaves with my nose and later on I nose the snows.

Pawsitive wishes and doggy kisses, Penny xx

  2. Ahh, Penny! I've heard tales of your championship nose plow method. Good on you. Keep it going my little 'ditch-witch' !

  3. Bazza, might I suggest you wear layered clothing. Take a large dog, as they finish faster than little bitty ones. Thanks, Bazza, and stay warm.
