make sure there's a fairy

My niece requested a painting of yourself, and, oh, make sure there's a fairy!

Click on picture to enlarge... see it all. Thanks.

  1. Hi Dixie, That's very nice. I like the range of colour particularly in the clouds. It looks like a picture that was a pleasure to paint!

  2. Thanks, Bazza! It's a repost... painted during one of my finest depression eras!

It was loads of fun, but really nice once she stopped changing her mind on fairy clothes color, hair, so on...

I love crazy clouds. Thanks, again!

  10. A really beautiful painting. Simple and delicate. The fairy part of your post made me laugh. "Make sure there's a fairy."

    Have a great day, Dixie!

  11. I really like this painting. I like the water and the color of it in the background and her face looks so real. Drawing faces of people is very challenging and is why I don't paint faces. Great artwork!

  15. Paul, it was amazing to see both parents' features ingrained in that little face. It was seeing my entire family on canvas. Don't know how else to explain it.
I really enjoy your artwork!! Take care and thanks again. :))
