It's old; it's damaged, but still rocks

The story of my life lately is much like the title of my blog. I am old, I am damaged, but I truly believe I still rock! My vacation to the north country has proven to be most difficult. I am challenged daily on so many things it is like juggling balls. I am in contact with friends to help me keep positive and that helps greatly. (Thanks you guys!) And yes, this is the very red rocking chair that I sit in and watch snowflakes, children playing, glorious looking sunsets and clouds… oh and lots of rain recently. I will continue to challenge my own discomfort.
I hope you are watching things that give you enjoyment; maybe you’re rekindling an old hobby. Either way, take good care of you. Most warmly, dcrelief

  3. Dear dcrelief,

I know you will be restored, for within you lies youthful curiosity. I know you are "damaged" but the damage will not destroy the fact that you have choices. This is about dcrelief and your right to be valued for the kind, decent person you are.
Your good friend 'L.R.', is proof that there are decent folks who truly care.
Stay with that positive focus, we are all here cheering for you.
    Rock n' Roll!

  5. A friend told me this once - "You have to be a little bit broken to let the sunshine come pouring through". "Damaged goods" can be repaired, recycled or found new or better uses for. Use love you have here as your glue and your support. There's a great song by Natasha Bedingfield with the following lyrics:

"I am unwritten, can't read my mind, I'm undefined
I'm just beginning, the pen's in my hand, ending unplanned

Staring at the blank page before you
    Open up the dirty window
Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find

Reaching for something in the distance
So close you can almost taste it
    Release your innovations
Feel the rain on your skin
No one else can feel it for you
Only you can let it in
No one else, no one else
Can speak the words on your lips
    Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
    The rest is still unwritten"

Love and blessings to you xx

How lovely that you share the things that really mean something, to me, today. I am most grateful that you empathize "where I'm at". In peace to you, dc
