Peanut Butter Cookies for a day without Sunshine

For many of us, it's Winter time. Many days, that means gray skies and a colder air temp. I get up, get dressed but wonder why? The morning looks the same as sunset.

I keep glancing out the window, waiting for the sun... and it's so dreary... I drift off... If you're one of those people who can fall asleep while on 'Facebook', you'll know what I'm talking about. Either that, or I'm no longer easily entertained.

Yes, that sleep thing gets you, and you find yourself wanting a wake up activity - right? Or do you return to the pajama and slipper mode and call the day off?
Ho-hum, I decided to make cookies. My favorite Peanut Butter cookies. Thank goodness for timers that wake me up to take the cookies from the oven. So far, I've never slept through a timer bell. That baby is loud!

What do you like to do on sunless, Winter days? Do you like cookies, and if so, what's your favorite? If you could, would you stay in pajamas all day?

  1. On the weekends, I live in lounge pants.
Those kinds of days, I play a lot of computer games and my guitar. At least I don't have to go out and do any yard work since everything is hibernating.
Glad you don't burn the cookies. That's cookie abuse.

  3. One of my favorite things over the holidays is to stay in jammies all day. I'll shower and change right into fresh ones. It's such a treat.

I have to move around to stay awake. Today is one of those dreary, sleepy days. I keep walking to the kitchen for cups of tea.

    1. Yvonne, I didn't think about the "sleep hour" but I have this sound machine that I play. I love to hear the ocean waves. Ooh, that reminds me... I think I'll put on some Beach Boys, today!

      That you, dear, (smile).

  7. I like to just lay in bed and read on "those" kinds of days. Not in pajamas (I don't wear 'em), but in baggy sweatpants and a loose T-shirt.

    1. I have a terrific chair for reading.

      >>..."baggy sweatpants and a loose T-shirt."

That's definitely my lounge uniform of choice. However my back dictates the need to stretch; I can't stay down for long.

  8. I can't stay in, whatever the weather. Feel I have to walk everyday sun, rain or snow, doesn't feel right otherwise. As for cookies / biscuits, my favourites are dark chocolate digestives - with a mug of tea.
