W is for Water Heater
Do you like cold showers? Or boiling water for hours? Here's a thought that's sweeter, 'Energy efficient water heater.'
I don't like replacing my water heater. I don't like messing with it either. The entire situation can get expensive So lately I've been somewhat apprehensive.
I always try to leave a rhyming comment at Pat Hatt's site. I done a few poems on my own blog, but it's been rare. And they've probably been overly serious.
We set our hot water temp pretty low so as not to ever have a chance of burning hot. And I have a little one gallon hot water tank and a faucet on my sink that is hot enough to make a cup of tea. Great little gadget and saves running lots of water to get it hot.
Hi Karen - my pleasure. I love a fun challenge! The AABBA pattern can be tough... you're did very well, yourself! However, it's more fun to make people smile. (smile).
We turned our water heater years ago when the kids were small and haven't adjusted it since. I think it could stand to go up just a bit, but then so will our utility cost. So, I think keeping it where it is, is the most practical. Our water heater is getting pretty old. I hope it continues to hold up.
You have the same concerns that I have. You know, Cathy, all the blogs that did music for the A-Z fascinated me. I cannot wait to see what you do with 'Z'. You've been my favorite!!
Matt likes really hot showers, I like mine medium. Recently we have had problems in the apartment getting hot water all the time. They seem to have fixed it finally
Definitely like my warm showers! Definitely need my water heater!

Lee, that's impressive poetry!! (smile)
DeleteWhere would one be without a water heater?
ReplyDeleteGood post Dixie,
Yvonne.
Standing at the stove, heating pots of water, maybe?
DeleteLove the double header water heater feature! You and Lee make quite a team!
ReplyDeleteJulie
Lee just knocked it out of the ballpark!!
DeleteLike that day we did 'Patsy.'
Wow, Lee can rhyme!
ReplyDeleteI like super hot showers in the winter, cold ones in the summer.
Lee can definitely rhyme... now I'm wondering why we never see poetry at his place?
DeleteCold showers? No.

DeletePat Hatt is always fun!
I am honored to have your 'masterpiece' displayed here!
mine is all rusty inside
ReplyDeleteUh-oh, not good!!
DeleteNeed a warm shower and not one of those stupid water saving, take forever to get the soap out, ones with less power.
ReplyDeleteWater saver, no.
DeleteSoap has to go.
It can't take forever,
Once I turn the lever.

ReplyDeleteThat is a smart idea. I could use that myself.
DeleteThanks for the visit, Dixie, re the poem - I forgot to mention that it really happened as I described, so the poem wasn't difficult to write :0)
ReplyDeleteCarole Anne - that was a true story? Goodness, it was so cold!! I loved it though.
DeleteI know you can lower the temperature, but I don't know how. Haha! I love that Morpheus picture.
ReplyDeleteHa - I like the Morpheus picture too, but I don't remember how to lower the temperature.
DeleteVery good point! I prefer warm showers for sure. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for writing the poem on my blog! It made me smile. You've inspired me. Maybe I will give it another go.
