The Returning

In my yard stand two Butterfly bushes ~
one white, and one purple.

Soon I will trim them back, from three foot limbs to one foot limbs.

Their rapid growth amazes me. Thousands of tiny buds will appear by the end of March.

Flowers, smaller than the head of a match, will pop open.

A fragrance ~ like no other.

I wait for Butterflies to return ~ and they will.

  8. I live in an apartment, but in 2-3 months I plan to move and create a garden. I'm going to have to plant a Butterfly bush. :)

    1. They love sun, and tend to take care of themselves. Butterflies seem to like the purple bush more than my white one, though I don't know why.

Best wishes with the coming move (smile).
