The Tangled Wing

No,
It's not a story or poem about a bird caught in a tree.
It's not a story about the wind twisting branches over and under.
It's not a story of how lovely Christmas lights look outside in the snow.
It's not a story at all.

Yes.
It's trivia time.
It's indigenous to Guatemala.
It's often called a Cashew Tree.
It's my favorite nut.

Thought you might like a break from reading that long story I posted yesterday
~and~
I'm off to decorate the fireplace mantle!

    1. I've been so busy with the Christmas village. I need to stop playing with it and move on to something else. I might leave the village up forever(smile).

That's right Shadow... 20 more days and the big guy assaults your chimney.

  2. Surely the answer isn't a cashew? (You mentioned a Cashew tree....) If so, I love cashews.

    1. Robin - I know!!! Look at the photo under the follow widget. Those are called Tangled Wing Cashew trees. In Guatemala they remove all of the lower branches - they trees "tangle," forming a canopy.
For some reason the Christmas one has been left alone to grow the lower branches, or maybe they didn't know. Still that's the Cashew Tree. Weird huh?
      I love cashews!!!
